Google is calling upon Hacksters located in the U.S. to submit ANY project without ANY technical constraints for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Beijing in mid-August to compete against innovators from China for up to $15,000 and global bragging rights!

IoSP: The Internet of Solved Problems with ParticleIs there problem that’s affecting you or your community? Choose something in your daily life (or even bigger!) that could benefit from the power of the IoT, then build a solution to make it a reality. One grand prize winner will receive hotel accommodations and a round-trip flight to San Francisco to meet the Zach Supalla and the Particle team, along with a one hour in-person consultation to help take their project to the next level.

Sensing the World in All Three DimensionsInfineon is calling on the Hackster community to explore the world of 3D magnetic sensors and come up with impressive ideas based on their TLE493D-A2B6 3D-MS2GO kit. 13 entries will be rewarded with gizmos and gadgets like a DJI Intelligent Portable Mini Drone, a Halo Board Electric Skateboard, an XPS 13 Laptop, a Surface Laptop, an HTC Vive VR system, a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Video Card, and a Home8 Twist HD Camera.

IoT Without LimitsHelium is dishing out cold, hard cash and a free trip to the Bay Area in the name of IoT and distributed sensing applications. Simply create an end-to-end solution — from environmental monitors, to GPS trackers, to people counters, and beyond — using the Helium Platform and Google Cloud IoT to be eligible. In addition to $10,000, one first place winner (and a guest) will fly to San Francisco to visit the Helium headquarters and meet the team.

Unleash Invisible IntelligenceMaxim Integrated is challenging you to discover creative ways to infuse intelligence into a new application using the MAX32620FTHR rapid development platform. Join the contest by outlining your design idea in one of the following categories: sports and fashion, smarter planet, personal safety monitoring, or home control. Upon review, we’ll award a minimum of 50 MAX32620FTHR boards to the top entrants with the most unique and scalable concepts. These contestants will then move on to constructing a prototype, where they’ll vie for a Microsoft HoloLens Development Edition, an iPhone X, a Nintendo Switch, an Apple Watch, a Rachio 16-Station Wi-Fi Compatible Irrigation Timer, and other prizes.

Seeed for Earth 2018In celebration of Earth Day, we partnered with Seeed on a contest searching for environmental-themed projects to inspire our community to invent things that will benefit our beautiful planet! So if you are passionate about climate, energy, water, soil, air, or even food, this is your chance to make an impact. We’re giving away 15 awesome Seeed-powered prizes for the best submissions, including one round-trip flight ticket from your city to Shenzhen during Maker Faire Shenzhen and Seeed Conference in November, as well as hotel accommodations for four nights. 2nd to 5th place winners will take home an Amazon Echo, while 10 runner-ups will receive a Seeed Environmental Kt.

Sensing the EarthTo honor Earth Day, Sigfox has launched the 2018 University Challenge. “Sensing the Earth” provides the engineers of tomorrow the opportunity to participate in a project that will not only be a technological challenge but one that will help improve our planet. Students and graduates from all over the world are welcome to submit their innovative ideas focusing on environmental and animal protection, energy, health, transportation, and any other areas of sustainable development. 10 semi-finalists will be selected and interviewed by the Sigfox team. Three finalists will then be chosen to pitch their projects during Sigfox Connect in Berlin for a chance to win an internship at Sigfox’s Hacking House in San Francisco.

Walabot & Raspberry Pi: Build Visionary Mobile Apps!Walabot is inviting the Hackster community to create a whole new category of Android mobile apps for its 3D imaging device using Raspberry Pi. Three of the first 10 submitted applications will be flown to San Francisco to showcase their project at Maker Faire Bay Area. Three MacBooks will also be awarded to the most innovative, fun, and creative entries. In addition to all that, Walabot will be giving away 50 units on a rolling basis to the best ideas submitted through May 28th.
