Our project is a device that is used to dispense sanitizer solution without physical contact with the device. The COVID-19 situation has made these kinds of projects absolutely necessary as it is even more secure as nobody needs to touch the sanitizer in any way
This device is essential in places like institutions, malls where there's too many crowd who use the same sanitizer that may cause the spread of the covid-19. this automation device to sense the proximity of the hand from the device, uses an Ultrasonic Sensor( HC-SR04). A microcontroller(Arduino NANOV3) is used to control the mini-pump which delivers the sanitizer solution with the proximity data from the sensor. This pump functions in the potential difference range of 3V - 6V with an average flow rate of 120 liters per hour which is sufficient for this process. When the required proximity is achieved the microcontroller is programmed to trigger the pump and delivers the sanitizer solution for a certain interval of time.
