I'm from India, the country with second largest base of mobile phone users. I used to teardown every gadget that I come across and learnt to repair broken stuff myself right from a young age. So I know the price of mobile spare parts like LCD, battery etc when bought from a wholesale electronics distributor. I have done almost 500 repairs within my circle of friends and family without charging anyone. With recent spat between India and China, aliexpress, alibaba, gearbest, banggood and other platforms that handle electronics have stopped shipping to our country. So getting hold of parts has become an increasingly difficult job especially the OEM ones. To overcome this situation I search spares on OLX and other platforms for broken mobile phones. But the catch here is I do not know if the condition of the spare part is good in the broken phone that I am going to get it. So I thought why not a mobile kiosk robot that could disassemble broken mobile phones and act as a vending machine for spare parts buyers. It is a win-win situation for the owner of the broken mobile phone and for the spare part buyer, since it is an original spare part :)
