Our project's aim is to improve the efficiency of urban traffic in medium- and small-sized towns and villages. A web interface allows us to tailor the patterns of green and red lights on users' demand for optimal convenience. We can also dim the lights when the section of the road is not in use to reduce light pollution during nighttime and save energy, thus saving money.
The full package includes: a central control box, a control hub to manually change the settings of the Smart Crossroads, a small mock-up of a crossroads and a web client to interact with the Crossroads' control box.
You can find blueprint files needed for manufacture attached to the project. Source codes to be upload on microcontrollers are located in the project's Git repository.
