In the distribution industry, it is necessary to efficiently manage the locations of many items, as it is necessary to handle on-time deliveries. However, especially in warehouses run by small and medium-sized enterprises, items are not properly managed due to the busyness of daily operations, and situations often arise where people do not know where the items they need are. For this reason, there is a need to attach RF tags to items so that they can immediately know where things are at the moment.
How to make
1. set heat-sink prevending to be hot.
2. connect Grove connector
The grove connector on M7E-Hecto must be hand soldering by Grove connector, Flip the Grove connector by bending the pins 180 degrees and align the GND/VCC/RX/TX with the M5Atom side. You can also unplug the cable and adjust the pin assignment. Additionally, GND must be soldered to M7E-Hecto GND.
3. change 0ohm registance
Reflow 0Ω resistance to U.FL Conector side to use external Antenna.
4. set M5Atom and M7E-Hecto board to 3D printed model.
Uploaded STL file, so you can print the holder from below link, then set M5Atom and M7E-Hecto board and connect them by 10cm grove cable to the holder. Use M3 6mm plastic screw and nut to place the M7E-Hecto board.
5. Connect Antenna(FA305) and M7E-Hecto boatd via U.FL Connector
6. Attach the antenna and 3D printed model by M3 15mm plastic screw.
You can hold the RFID Reader and push M5 button, then scan starts.
My RF tag recommendation is FT7030.
This RFID Reader can read FT7030 up to 5m!
Application Example
Can use for Item finder making Android apps.
If you requests me, I will share android apps. Later, I will plan to release Android app.
Can connec with PC or Web Brower by Serial Communication.
M7E-Hecto has FCC/CE/TELEC Certification. Tuning the frequency and power, user can use this UHF RFID Reader in your country.
