The first version opertates a magnetive valve that can be controlled by GPIO pin of the Raspberry. Its attached to the garden hose. The other side leads into a boxed beet with a hose that has holes in it.
We use the very same app as on the raspberry also on the windows phone here one can set the watering mode:
- Time boxed. E.g. 5 liters a day
- Depending on rain and humidity information from the web

The phone connects via bluetooth to send the commands.
As a next step, we will attach a pump to get rain water instead.
