Project Polascii

Project Polascii is originally inspired by the HasciiCam project. It gives people a classic and geek impression of images. I would like to combine the Polaroid Camera idea with the HasciiCam so that user can get an instant picture with the ASCII Art effect.

It is intended for a public demonstration of SZDIY group in the Shenzhen Maker Faire 2014 event. It prints out tickets with a thermal printer, where user can scan a QR code on it and direct to a web page displaying the ASCII image.

Now I put all the project information here, including the source code for other people to learn and try. If you want to use it for commercial purpose, please contact me first.

Polascii项目最早的灵感是来自于HasciiCam项目。它的照片会给人一种复古和极客的印象。我想把拍立得相机的点子跟它结合起来，这样用户便可以现场立即得到一张ASCII字符艺术的照片。

这个项目本来的目的是作为SZDIY组织的展品，为2014年的”深圳制汇节“而准备的。它使用一台热敏打印机打印小票，在票上的二维码可以引导用户打开一个在线的页面显示用户所拍下的字符型照片。

我把这个项目的所有信息发布在这个网站上面，包括源代码，让感兴趣的人可以学习并自己尝试动手做。如果你想把它用在商业目的上，请先与我联系征得同意。
