I live in Ireland where the weather changes from minute to minute. Drastically. So you need to look at an outside thermometer to decide how many coats and jackets to put on before heading out. And then there's the poorly-controlled radiator heating that the Irish love. The "thermostat" is me looking at the temp and turning knobs on the radiator. And because I am now a freelancer, it helps to have the time and day of the week displayed! I had all the parts on hand so I just threw this together, originally in cardboard form. But after a year or so, I made a nice wooden enclosure for it, with a fluorescent acrylic window.
