Animal Repelling & Bio-Growth Promoting Drone

What is my project about?

State of farmers in India has been pretty bad since 1949. Due to increasing population, lack of policy robustness and implementation, farmers incur losses due to cattle razing the fields, insects apart from floods, abrupt weather changes, droughts etc.

The project aims to help such farmers reduce the losses if not eleminate them.

Why did I decide to make it?

The problem mentioned above is so severe that innumerable number of farmers have commited suicide due to consequent losses in the yield. They cant repay loans, they cant make money by selling the crops if they are spoilt by the cattle and/or insects. As a human, it is our job to find ways in devising ways to save humankind and farmers are one of the most undervalued and overlooked community of the society. I personally feel that the very basis of our existence is around our ability to empathise and think!

If we cant empathise, we are no different from other living organisms.

To empathise with farmers of developing countries like India, I decided to build this project and later I will try to popularise it among students who can create cheaper versions of it and GIFT to the farmers.

How does it work? The idea works on three principles:1. Helium is lighter than air and using Helium balloons, the flight time of drone can be increased by more than 400%.2. The animals repel to the ultrasonic sounds.3. The bio extracts based formula invented by Indian Agricultural Scientistsand Researchers is found to have surprising effects on fields. Spraying the liquid on crops acts like covering the crop with a layer of protection which not just repels the animals (the odour) but also increases the nutritional content of the soil once absorbed by ground. So regular and recommended use of this liquid improves the yield and eliminate the risk of crop getting damaged by the razing cattle and/or insects.

Damage to crops due to grasshopper migration is also a major concern that will be solved by this.

Also, to safeguard fields, farmers have to install barb wire at the boundries due to which lot of animals including cows get hurt and /or die. This is now becoming a crime in India as per the news making rounds Indian Government's spokespersons.

Using the proposed solution we can ensure that neither the Cow Dies nor the Farmer!
