Ferris/Sweep is fabulous for its compactness, but after using it for several months as my daily driver, the way too aggressive columns design and messy cords made want to build a similar 34 keys wireless split keyboard.
The first thought was to build something around nice!nano, which has Arduino Pro Micro footprint and provides wireless connectivity. But, the MCU is way too expensive and really hard if not impossible to fetch on inside China. After some research, the really compact yet powerful Seeeduino Xiao, not to mention it only cost half the price of nice!nano, caught my eyes.
Hence the build you can see here.
