The Factory At Exhibition - 4.0 And Beyond - [Part 1]

The Challenge

In three months realize the control and the supervision of a real factory 4.0 that will work (and produce) for three days during a public exhibition.

Where and When

The exhibition, BIE Brescia Industrial Exhibition, will take place in ITALY Montichiari Brescia, 18 - 19 - 20 may 2017.

What

The plant, composed of eight machines, starting from a brass rod will produce a ball valve.

The Project

Each machine will be equipped with a raspberry PI3, on it Windows 10 IoT core, as operating system, and a PowerBerry APP that collect the data from the automation electronic (PLC, NC ..). Data, status signal, alarm are sent to a centralized POWER-KI application that store this information in a hybrid system constituted by a Data Base and a Knowledge Base (DB+KB).

In this way:

• each machine can be aware of the data of the other machines;

• many other POWER-KI app can be add to display, analyze, monitor and control the whole plant or the single machine.

Each IoT board will be able to provide a specific user interface to any human user that has this need through its native CLOUD capabilities.
