The initial design was created in Maxon Cinema4d. From there the 3d model was sliced and the slices were CNC cut on a ShopBot Alpha.
The LEDs are APA102 strips in a diffusion tube controlled by a PixelPusher.
The light patterns were created in Adobe After Effects and then sent to PixelPusher via Processing.
