If you’re tired of the same one-color manicure and rather decorate your nails with smiley face emojis, logos or selfies, Menlo Park-based startup Preemadonna has just the thing for you. The brainchild of Pree Walia, the Nailbot prints custom art directly on your fingernails in five seconds using your smartphone.

First, you prep your nail with a basic white polish and then open its accompanying app. Select the image of choice, place your hand inside the cradle, and hit print — it’s as simple as that! The resolution of the Nailbot is the same as traditional thermal inkjet products, reaching up to 1200 dpi.

The Nailbot Print App syncs with all of today’s popular cloud-based services. This means, you can design using your favorite web or mobile app software programs, and upload to Google Drive, Adobe Creative Creative Cloud, Instagram, or even your camera roll.

Through Preemadonna’s platform, Nailbot users will have the ability to express themselves in unique fashion by devising, sharing, selling and printing their own designs, photos and art.

If the Nailbot sounds familiar, that’s because you may recall an Indiegogo campaign from late last year for their beta version. Now, Pree Walia and her team are on Kickstarter with hopes of garnering $75,000.
