There are several voice assistants on the market, but if you’d to make one yourself, this Raspberry Pi-based model might be a good project. At its core is an RPi with several accessories available from Seeed Studio. These components include a small OLED display and a capacitive touch sensor. All of this is housed in a nicely laser-cut case.
On the software side, the device is able to pull weather and time data from the Internet, and also links to Evernote to see your to-do list. With the capacitive sensor mentioned earlier, the unit can inform you of this data when you touch a door handle, letting you know whether to take an umbrella and what you need to do while you’re out!
Do you have a voice-controlled Raspberry Pi project? It could win you an Amazon Echo + more!
