Application Description:
Our first assignment was to be able to convert our age on Earth to our corresponding age on another planet. Therefore, I imagined that the screen would be broken up into 2 halves in which the left half would be the planet which we are on and the right half is the planet where we want to know our new age. To choose a planet for either side, I implemented a drop down menu (Spinner) that has the options for all 8 planets, and choosing a planet for the spinner changes the corresponding half's background to a picture of that planet. Below the Spinner are two textual inputs (EditText) so that the age and weight can be input. The EditTexts can only be manually edited on the left side because that is the side where I am getting the age/weight data, and the right side is not editable but can display the corresponding age/weight on the other planet. If no age/weight is given on the left side, then it defaults to producing 0 on the right side. Finally, there is a button on the bottom called "Convert" which takes in the names of the planets on each side and the age/weight on the left side, then prints out the corresponding age/weights for the new planet on the right side.
