Overview Description: Dear all, I come from Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories, R.O.C, in Taiwan.
A time signal stations broadcast the time in machine readable time code that can be read by the radio-controlled watches and clocks. However, building one time signal station is very expense. Those dealers usually priced their solutions for 17 million US dollars, that is a burden to our government.
To provide a solution, I proposed a project to solve the issue. In this project, I designed:
1. one baseband keyer ( purely based on UDOO )
2. one 100W-to-1000W rating 77.5kHz modulator/transmitter ( purely self-design analog circuit )
which is functioning well and stable, providing a high precision timing clock to common time standard applications.
UDOO saved me a lot of time and money in developing the baseband keyer. An in-lab-testing module costs $8,000 US dollars in normal, but UDOO is only $180 US dollars in Taiwan. By few programming, they can do the same thing.
It is really beyond my believe !
