When students from National Star are moving around both the campus and when in town, they would like to be able to send a message to a person they approach that would help their interaction.
As an example: "I use my eyes to control my communicator so give me a moment to reply" or "Hi, my name is John and this is my assistance dog called Tigger, please don't distract him, he is working. But you can ask me about when I DJed on local radio!"
Output from workshop:- How to store / offer information
- Tailor information depending on environment
- Data security concerns
- Pre-defined message
- Alexa / Glass
- Define user scenario first - then how much information gets revealed
- Target one specific disability / requirement - needs to be technically flexible and adaptable by user
- Text / voice / video
- People page
- Levels of profile - public/ Private / work
- Colours to indicate mood - perhaps a wearable item
- Link to external pages such as facebook / linkedin where status/requirements have already been set out
- Link to Yammer
- Confirm if something already exists - and how to deploy
- Perhaps focus on the recipient rather than the individual - so how to initiate the conversation to the NS person
