Autism Communications Assistant

I am a father of 3 autistic boys, and I work as a Multi-Cloud Architect.

I have already used home automation to assist with our daily lives..

However, our sons still have issues communicating. This causes depression, anger, and frustration with the kids and adults involved. I hope to eliminate that, and use it as a part of a larger project of an assistant. One that can help with more than one child.

I currently have started a proof of concept using several different pieces of hardware. I am evaluating which I will choose to meet my overall requirements soon. (Keeping in mind I have very little budget).

I am prototyping with an M5 Fire as a controller, dropping the overhead/power use of the rpi3. However, it is still in progress.
