When watching TV, using a remote control can sometimes be an annoyance. Having to get up to look for the remote, looking for the right buttons on the small remote, and making sure it's pointed directly at the TV. Instead of dealing with all this wouldn't it be easier to speak what channel you want to go to?
By having a small microphone inside a C by GE lightbulb, anyone can just say "Go to channel 45" and let the lightbulb do the rest. The lightbult will listen to a keyword, maybe "Hey Light", then listen to the next words that follow and execute the command issued by the speaker.
