The Problem
One of the most used products for girls everywhere is the tampon. I'm not the only girl who is stuck panicking every month when supplies run low. Unfortunately, tampons are a product that you can't really ask a friend to pick up for you in an emergency. For me, growing up with a single dad meant that the inconvenience and awkwardness of buying tampons was amplified ten-fold. Unfortunately, no device was available when I was younger to help alleviate this problem. As a woman in the engineering world, female geared technology tends to be hard to come by. It'd be helpful to device that allows me to discretely, conveniently, and quickly get the products I so desperately need.
The Solution
A DRS enabled tampon container would allow the user to receive quick and easy product refills from Amazon. Tampons could be stored in a box equipped with with a weight sensor that would track the remaining supply. When the amount of tampons in the box dropped below a certain level, the DRS API's would be called, invoking the request for more tampons to be shipped. The box could be set so that a woman never has less than a couple day supply and she could choose whichever tampon brand and size is needed. Never again would a woman have to deal with the horror of being stuck without a tampon.
