SquaryPi and SquaryFi, embedded systems from SB Components, are based on the ESP-12E and RP2040 silicon, respectively.
The SquaryPi and SquaryFi embedded systems, which are based on the Espressif ESP-12E and RP2040 silicon respectively, were introduced by SB Components last week. Each gadget has a 1.54" LCD screen and different interfaces. The business also provides an extension PCB board so that you may combine and add these embedded devices.
SquaryPi - an RP2040 Based LCD ScreenAs previously noted, the SquaryPi is built on the 32-bit RP2040 Arm microcontroller, which has the following specifications.
Dual-core ARM Cortex M0+ CPU (up to 133MHz) with 264kB on-chip SRAM, 1 DMA controller, 2 UARTs, 2 SPI, and 2 I2C are all features of the RP2040.
The embedded 1.54" LCD panel is 350 nits bright and offers resolutions up to 240240 pixels. The SquaryPi has an integrated GC9A01 Driver and SPI Interface, according to the product website, "to decrease the number of IO pins required."
As can be seen in the image below, the portable gadget also has a Type-C USB, an SD card reader, a battery connector, and a charging IC. Additionally, the SquaryPi appears to include an accelerometer and up to 7x more programmable GPIOs.
The SquaryFi, on the other hand, has a comparable form factor. However, the ESP-12E Wi-Fi module is a part of this little board. The ESP8266EX serves as the ESP-12E's central processing unit.

The SquaryFi lacks the accelerometer and SD card reader, in contrast to the SquaryPi. Up to 5x programmable GPIOs and support for an external LiPo battery are additional features of the SquaryFi.
Additionally, the business sells Squary Consoles and breakout boards that may house numerous Squary gadgets. The Squary Consoles come in three different form factors: 21, 22, and 23. It seems from the graphic above that the Squary boards communicate with one another via the I2C protocol.
The SquaryPi costs around $28, while the SquaryFi costs about $30. The 2x Squary Consoles, which start at about $53, come with 2x Squary devices. Shipping is anticipated to start in February 2023.
