What is the project about?Zecko ES is a multifunctional embedded system built on the Unihiker K10. It combines photography, audio playback, fitness tracking, AI-based face recognition, a reflex-based game, and more—all in one compact device. A custom 3D-printed enclosure keeps the board protected while maintaining full access to sensors, buttons, and GPIO pins.
Why did you make it?I wanted to explore the full potential of the Unihiker K10 and challenge myself to build a device that goes beyond standard demos. Using your own embedded system to interact with music, games, AI, and daily tracking brings a personal and hands-on experience unlike any other.
How does it work?- Camera Module: Captures photos and saves them to an SD card.
- Music Player: Plays WAV files directly from the SD card.
- Workout Station: Tracks steps, sets, reps, and time.
- Zecko AI: Simple chatbot for answering questions.
- Weather Station: Reads temperature, humidity, light intensity, and noise levels.
- AI Recognition: Detects and measures faces using the camera.
- Reaction Game: Tests your reflexes with color prompts.
- Journal: Records voice notes and saves them to SD.
The system is coded entirely in C++ using PlatformIO, with each module interacting directly with the K10’s sensors and display.
