This application allows you to briefly immerse yourself in Berkeley's history while at Sproul Plaza. Users are prompted to draw a sketch relating to free speech, and then submit their sketch to a public collection of all FSM sketches. The user's Toq smartwatch then updates to show another sketch from the collection. Just as FSM activists did their part in securing freedom of speech for students, users do their part in creating an informal, Dada-inspired collage of memorabilia.
Usage
We must approach Sproul Plaza in Berkeley, CA, or we can "teleport" to Sproul by clicking the "Teleport to Sproul and Back" button on the application's android interface. This is done to ensure that individuals who do not have access to Sproul still can partake in its history.
When prompted with a notification on the Toq smartwatch, find the corresponding figure in the Toq FSMwatch applet. Here we are notified to draw a prompt related to Joan Baez, and so we select Joan Baez from the deck of cards in the applet.
Once we select Joan Baez, the drawing board opens on the Android device so we can follow the request for a sketch. We have a choice of several colors, brush sizes, and eraser sizes.
After we finish our sketch, we press the "Submit" button to submit the image to Flickr, accepting any requests for permission to submit if necessary. Then, a few seconds later, another card appears in our applet containing another user's sketch.
We have contributed to the collage, and have learned a little bit more about the Free Speech Movement!

Thank you to Sue Smith from TutsPlus for contributing a tutorial on creating a drawing interface, which the drawing board portion of the app is based off of.
