Sometimes while playing Arkham Horror the Living Card game by Fantasy Flight games I find that I loose my place either in the Turn sequence or while taking my 3 actions. So I created this LED Round Sequence Tracker and turn counter out of a Magic The Gathering Fat pack box. Works great and is simple to use just light up a red led to count the Sequence of The Round and the Green LED's to count your actions for the Turn. Helps make sure you advance through a round without missing any steps or doing things out of order. Best part is that it does not even need a micro controller. Just wire it up and supply power.
Steps- 1st step is to mark the holes for the switches in the fat pack box, as well as make holes for your LED's.
- 2nd step is to solder two wires to each switch, one goes to the breadboard power and the second to the power lead of the LED. Solder a wire to each negative node of the LEDs. and make sure you have male ends for the power wires and the negative wires.
- 3rd step would be to put a 330 ohm resistor or what ever size works best with your LEDs on the breadboard connected to the ground on one end and the wire from the negative on the LEDs on the other.
- 4th step is to put the switches in the box and glue gun in the LEDS. Then drop in your breadboard with power supply and cut out a hole on the side of the box to allow you to turn on the power supply and change the battery.
Now your ready to take on the tales from the Mythos in a fun game of Arkham Horror the card game. This device keeps track of the Sequence of the round as well as giving a visual indicator of what action you are preforming during the investigator phase. Using this device will help you master the sequence of the game and can help if a distraction occurs.
