A prototype made in Kinoma Studio of an app for viewing xkcd comics and related images from Flickr.
This app consists of a single view where users can look at a xkcd comic as well as a photo from Flickr relating to the words in the title of that particular xkcd comic. The title, edition number, and date the comic was published is also displayed. On start, the app defaults to displaying the latest published xkcd comic.
From this screen, users can fetch the previous comic or the next comic with the arrow buttons. They can also pick a random comic by clicking on the dice button. As soon as the user chooses to fetch a new comic, a new Flickr photo is automatically displayed relating to that new comic's title.
In rare cases where no photo on Flickr can be found relating to the topic, the app falls back to displaying a default photo with tons of items in it. It's appropriately titled "Everything" and is a photo that comes with the app's files.
Regarding edge cases, clicking the forward arrow button on the latest xkcd comic causes the app to loop around and display the first published xkcd comic. Likewise, clicking the back arrow button on the first published xkcd comic causes the latest xkcd comic to be shown.
