Hi, welcome to my pet feeder companion app! The title of my app says it all: Fish are friends. We want the best for our friends, right? So we should take really good care of our fish. Yep, there'll be no flushing the fish down the toilet for us. We're better than that. And this app will help you to achieve this.
Let's take a look at the main screen, shown below.
The colorful bars represent the feeder's three sensors that are attached to the aquarium. One sensor takes the temperature of the water, the second measures the fish's activity level, and the third keeps track of how much fish food remains.
So, our app is telling us that the temperature is currently 70 degrees F, the fish has a medium activity level, and food reservoir is full.
However, the information on the mobile app may not be up to date. Let's look at the measurements on the connected device. We see that the temperature has actually changed to 77.2 degrees since the mobile app last checked.
To retrieve the latest sensor measurements, just tap the "Refresh" icon in the top right corner of the mobile app. Observe in the screen below that the temperature has updated to the actual value, 77.2 degrees.
At the bottom of the screen, you'll see a button that allows you to feed your fish remotely. When we tap the "Feed" button, the mobile app updates when you last fed your fish to the current time.
The mobile app also tells the connected feeder device to release food pellets into the aquarium. We've depicted this on the device (see below) by changing the device screen and manually adjusting the sensors. Since this is a feeding, the fish's activity level will increase and the remaining food amount will decrease.
We refresh the mobile app again to see the updated values for the activity level and remaining food.
That's it! Thank you for checking out my app! Please be sure to check out my source code and YouTube video below!
