Driving Question:
How do we make factories more efficient so that workers can maximize their working efficiency, while prioritizing workers’ safety?
- How do we make factories more efficient so that workers can maximize their working efficiency, while prioritizing workers’ safety?
Current situation:
This day and age, Singapore has been trying to incorporate more elements of modern technology into improving the efficiency of factories and the lifestyles of factory workers. Since modern technology has evolved, many elements can be used to improve the output of factories which then can contribute more to the economy of Singapore while maintaining good working environments for factory workers.

Since modern technology has evolved, many elements can be used to improve the output of factories which then can contribute more to the economy of Singapore while maintaining good working environments for factory workers.
The problem:
Lies in balancing need for increased factory efficiency with priority of maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for workers. While modern technology has the potential to significantly improve productivity, there are concerns about the implementation of new systems and tools that may lead to unintended consequences, includes workers’ stress, risk of job displacement due to automation, or potential safety hazards if new technologies are not properly integrated or maintained.

While modern technology has the potential to significantly improve productivity, there are concerns about the implementation of new systems and tools that may lead to unintended consequences, includes workers’ stress, risk of job displacement due to automation, or potential safety hazards if new technologies are not properly integrated or maintained.
Additionally, the challenge lies in ensuring that all workers are adequately trained to use these new technologies, and that these advancements do not compromise their well-being or job security. Therefore, the problem is finding the right balance between enhancing productivity through modern technology and ensuring that factory workers are kept safe, healthy, and empowered.
