In a world where accessibility and empowerment matter, four driven engineering students embarked on a journey to create something truly transformative. Their creation, "Horus, " a mobile AI gadget, aims to redefine independence for people with visual impairments. Horus empowers people by smoothly identifying everyday items in real-time using a clever combination of cutting-edge technologies, such as YOLO: Real-Time Object Detection.
This project is a result of respecting the prior state of the art and the advancements made by tools like "Be My Eyes, " while also attempting to improve upon the current environment. Horus aims to improve accessibility, object recognition speed, and autonomy for those with visual impairments. It combines cutting-edge object identification algorithms with the deep potential to transform lives, standing at the nexus of innovation and impact.
With Horus, the team hopes to create a world where daily activities are easier to complete, environments are easier to navigate, and people's lives are improved. We are excited to use YOLO's talents to develop a practical solution that improves the lives of people who need it the most as they go forward.
