Let's Make a Paper Circuit Birthday Card

Hi all,

Don’t you wanna make an awesome birthday card using the paper circuit? Let’s make it then !

Step 1: Required Materials

• Yellow 5mm LED(x1)
• 3V CR2032 Coin Cell
• Copper Tape
• Colorfull Cardboards
• Materials for decoration

Step 2: Drawing a Cupcake

Draw a cupcake on the cardboard then cut it out.

Step 3: Drawing Circuit Diagram

Stick the cupcake on the cardboard. Make two holes in the cardboard to put the led by using a needle. Pass the led through the holes.

It’s time to make the circuit ! :)

Draw the circuit on the cardboard as shown in the picture below. Then stick the copper tape by following the way of the circuit. (The circuit must be complete for the led to light up.)

The LED has two legs coming out of it's colored bulb - notice that one of them is longer than the other one- the long one is positive (+) side of the LED. The shorter one is the negative (-). We will connect these on the + and - sides of our copper tape paths.

**If your LED isn’t lighting up, check outthe tape connections.

Step 4: Decorate and Customize

Our project is ready ! Enjoy your completed paper circuit!
