It started with wanting to keep an eye on my Claude Code usage.
I had a Seeed Wio Terminal laying around and came across Clawdmeter, a dedicated Claude usage monitor that inspired me to build my own version for the Wio Terminal. I ended up with a working Claude usage meter on the display showing session and weekly quota, fed live over USB serial with a BLE option to cut the cable.
Then I thought, why not make it more useful while I'm at it?
So I added system stats, then a process monitor, then a Pomodoro timer, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, a Wi-Fi analyser, a BLE scanner. I just kept adding screens. Each one made the device a little more useful to have around.
At some point I looked at what I had and realised it wasn't really a Claude meter anymore. I leaned into the aesthetic I'd been building up, dark backgrounds, neon colours, arc gauges, and decided to turn it into a proper cyberpunk inspired toolkit.
I called it WioDeck.
It now has a sonar proximity sensor screen, temperature and humidity, Matrix digital rain, and an SD card viewer. Everything navigates from a joystick driven menu and all settings persist to flash.
If you have a Wio Terminal laying around, this might be what it was waiting for.
