Project Overview
What is the project about?
This project aims to enhance healthcare accessibility in rural Ethiopian communities by developing an offline AI-powered healthcare assistant. The system will provide real-time symptom analysis, offer medical advice, and deliver essential health information, even in areas with limited internet connectivity.
Why did you decide to make it?
The critical lack of healthcare access in rural Ethiopia, characterized by limited medical professionals, inadequate infrastructure, and poor connectivity, inspired this project. By leveraging AI and AMD Ryzen processors, we aim to bridge this gap and improve health outcomes for underserved populations.
How does it work?
The system functions as an offline healthcare assistant, utilizing AMD Ryzen AI to analyze user-inputted symptoms against a medical knowledge base. It provides triage recommendations, ranging from self-care advice to urgent medical attention. Additionally, it offers accessible health education and reminders to promote disease prevention and management.
