This project was created as a final project for EE3123 Embedded Systems courses in the John Brown University Engineering program.
The goal of this project was to design a Smart Temperature Monitoring and Alert System that can keep a room in a safe temperature and alert the user at the moment that the temperature dangerous increases. This project is based on a Texas Instruments MSP430G2 microcontroller and uses a LM35 temperature sensor, a cooling fan, buzzer, LED, and a Bluetooth module.
In many places such as labs, dorms, small equipment storage rooms, the temperature can increase without people even noticing. The goal of this device is to continuously monitors the temperature of the room, and automatically to turn on the fan if its need it to keep the temperature to a certain level, it sends an alert to the user's smartphone if the temperature increases a dangerous level.
This project gave me hands-on experience with embedded C programming, GPIO, transistor driven loads, and sensor interfacing
