Well necessity had yet another miraculous conception and gave birth to this shortly after. Its rough but it works a treat. Couldn't find anything on the web that did the same so I thought I'd share.
My local agricultural museum was robbed 3 times in as many weeks. They put in cameras on week one. It was obvious by week 2 more was needed as the thief's were not at all camera shy.
The TP-Link VIGI cameras did a great job at spotting and recording, truly a good product! What was needed was NOISE lots of ear splitting make your nose bleed noise. To have an alarm you gota have a trigger switch. The TP-Link NVR's have alarm relays built in on the bigger models but not the smaller ones. They all have facility for an alarm server which with some prompting to AI about the protocols involved, I was able to write a solution that worked reasonably well in the time I was given. Yep I had 3 days as the thief's were due back on the next Wednesday. The VIGI system will send all manner of alarms to the system but I tuned it to just trigger on humans and vehicles. So dogs, mice, birds are fine no false triggers.
There are other pages to configure the relays as active high or low and the GPIO pins. I did have to buzz these out with a meter on the board to work them out. No documentation provided but that's Ebay.
The software should work on almost any cheap and nasty direct drive ESP32 relay board so no need to splurge if budget is tight.
Feel free to modify and if the code gives you a leg up give the project a thumbs up.
