HealthApp

Many times I wanted to create a multifunctional device that would help to keep track of time effectively, would also help to take breaks at the right time to prevent fatigue and provide physical exercises during the breaks, in addition to receive information about the surrounding parameters... A lot of sensors and long coding work would be needed for this.

So I am happy that I found a solution with Mit App Inventor. Nothing is needed except your mobile phone.

How does HealthApp work?

• HealthApp allows you to consentrate on your work during a specific duration of time that will not let you become exhausted - 30min. Then a notification will appear on the screen and let you know that it is a perfect time to have a 5 min break, I also added a sound signal with my own voice to be sure that if you don't see a notification, then you will be able to hear it. If you don't answer a notification and continue working - then after next 30 min you will get it again with a sound notification. It will continue every 30 min to let you get along with a time.
• There are three buttons: Start, Pause, Reset. So you choose when you start to count time (press Start), or when you would like to make a pause and stop timer without losing the data (press Pause), or when you would like to stop the time and delete the data (press Reset).
• There is also a button "Physical training" that is designed specifically for a 5 min break. When you press a button, it will open a youtube web-page with searching results for 5 min physical training. I believe that it will help to enetiate in an easier way a healthy break with physical activity.
• Depending on your device, different sensors can be available and provide information about enviromental condirions. I added four sensors: luminosity, temperature, humidity and air pressure sensors. Info about these parameters continuously appears on the screen. My device has only a build-in luminosity sensor, that's why on the video we get only this parameter.
