Based on NASA technology, the OsteoBoost belt has been shown to reduce plasma markers of bone loss in menopausal and post-menopasusal women. In an NIH-backed study 17/17 women had a reduction in a marker of bone resorption with an average reduction of 14%, similar to that found with drugs but without the side effects. The device is easy to use, provides a pleasant sensation (likened to a massage by study participants) and can be worn during regular daily activities (walking, cooking, brushing teeth, etc.). The OsteoBoost has also been associated with a reduction in pain levels in users with pre-existing back pain. See osteoboost.com for more information and a product video.
