This is my Robot Smart Home Controller. I am building this robot because I know there can be, and often are, hot and cold spots for various environmental levels, including CO2, Carbon Monoxide, and various gases. This robot will roam around my environment taking and recording readings from many areas of each room in my home. I will be able to configure what the acceptable levels are for each item, so the robot can let me know about any bad levels. I am using sensors such as the SCD-30, which is a TRUE CO2 detector. It does not estimate levels like other sensors do - it is actually detecting the true level of CO2. The robot smarts will be a Raspberry Pi 5 with 16GB of RAM and an Arduino UNO Q to handle monitoring sensors and interfacing with an MQTT server and database. Control commands can be sent to homelab devices to control heating and other parameters of the environment. I have all the information to interface to the thermostat in my apartment. If sensor levels go out of range, alarms can be raised in warning.
