The Project
We designed a functional prototype of a smart bung. The bung was designed to eliminate the need for distillery workers to serially take measurements of barrel liquid volume by hand. Instead, we imagine a network of our bungs, simultaneously taking accurate measurements using an ultrasonic sensor and uploading the information to the cloud, where it can be manipulated and downloaded by the people who need it.
