SolarYou
SolarYou is an app where you can convert your age from one planet to all other planets in the Solar System. If you’re ever in store for an interplanetary adventure, be prepared with your equivalent age in years when having to contact alien life forms or deal with alien legal documents! Just simply enter your age for any given planet and see your equivalent age for all the other planets within the Solar System. With instant feedback of your age, it’s that easy.
Design
For my app, I took a very minimalistic approach in its design. My goal was to have the easiest user interaction as possible with the cleanest interface, avoiding clutter and extraneous information. Therefore, all that is displayed on the screen are images of each planet to serve as visual cues, the name of the planets as text, and EditText boxes to enter your age. By entering your age in one of the EditText fields, you will instantly see your age converted for each of the other planets. This app is available in both portrait and landscape modes.
