The purpose of this watch app is to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Free Speech Movement. In order to honor those who have changed history and made an impact on the basis of 1st Amendment rights, I have developed this app as a sort of educational tool for users visiting Sproul Plaza.
The app was built using a drawing app tutorial (http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/android-sdk-create-a-drawing-app-touch-interaction--mobile-19202), Flickr Test, SectionToqActivity, and SectionLocationActivity. Also heavily utilized was the Flickr API, Toq API, and Location API, and their documentations.
1. The user visits Sproul Plaza (for simplicity's sake, my apartment is used for the recording and photos). Upon arrival, they will receive a notification.
2. The notification will prompt a draw command. On their Android device, they can then use drawing tools to draw out the given prompt.
3. The drawing app allows for limited color changes, brush size changes, and eraser. After completing the prompt, the user can then save the drawing to their phone.
4. The user can then click on the "Pick" button to choose a photo, then click on the "Upload" button to upload it on Flickr.
5. The user can then check on their watch and see an image pulled from Flickr. They can also check Flickr to see that their image has been uploaded on their account with the tag: "cs160fsm".
