HuGo

What is project HuGo about:

The name HuGo comes from the abbreviation and concatenation of the words humanoid and go.

The reason for this project:

The main reason for starting this project is that robots in general are really interesting and cool, but when a robot starts to be similar to you it makes them even more interesting because that puts the the bar quite high and makes this project very challenging.

I think the main feature of this design is the intention to makes HuGo such a way that theoretically he will be able to do a lot of the things that we can such as:

• Being able to follow a desired path
• Look for obstacle and avoid it
• Having dynamic motion
• Having about 24 degree of freedom

The goal:

The goal of the project is to design a humanoid robot that has advanced moving capabilities with using :

• 3D designing in CAD
• 3D printing technique
• FPGA boards for the controlling of the system
• Different sensors such as camera, IMU, proximity and pressure sensors
• Servo motors

The main parts of the robot are:

• Custom made frame

• The actuators
• The processing unit
• Power supply
