The app opens up to the most recent comic (the one retrieved by xkcd.com/info.0.json), displaying the comic on the left side and a relevant Flickr photo on the right side. From here, the user can go to the previous comic, the next comic, or a random comic. The comics wrap around, so the next comic after the most recent one is the oldest (number one), and clicking previous from comic #1 will give the most recent comic.
