This is a simple project that will let you change the hue of your lights based on changes in your brain waves and blinking. You will get introduced to Octoblu's new Connector Factory, learn how to connect your devices to your Octoblu account, and learn how to import/run a flow.
Phillips Hue SetupIn order to setup your Hue, you will first need to download either the iOS app or the Andriod app. Follow the instructions in your app to connect your Hue to the internet.
Once you have your Hue connected to it's companion app, you can connect it to your Octoblu account.
Go to the connector factory and create a new Phillips Hue. Once you are done, you should be able to see this:
Click the Open in Octoblu button, and make sure to change Configure Type to Default Configuration:
And with that, you have your Hue connected to your account.
Now let's connect your MindWave...
NeuroSky MindWave SetupTo setup your NeuroSky MindWave, follow their instructions to get the ThinkGear Connector running on your computer.
Once you have ThinkGear Connector running, go to the connector factory.
Add a new Neurosky Mindwave:
Click the Open in Octoblu button, and change the configuration as follows:
And now you have your MindWave connected to your Octoblu account.
Now we can use a flow I created to make your devices talk to each other!
Octoblu Flow SetupNow that you have your devices connected to your Octoblu account, you can import my Flow:
This flow is pretty simple... It just reads in the data from your MindWave, then changes the color of the Hue based on "High Gamma" waves or if you blinked.
Enjoy your Brain Controlled Hue Light via Octoblu!
