π The Challenge
Music has always been a universal language β but for many learners with disabilities, especially those with visual or motor challenges, the path to learning music is filled with barriers. Traditional teaching methods rely heavily on sighted notes, hand coordination, and expensive tools that are not designed with inclusivity in mind. This means that a significant section of society is unintentionally excluded from experiencing the joy of creating music.---
π‘ The Spark of an Idea
Our team asked ourselves a simple question:"What if music learning could be made accessible, fun, and interactive for everyone, regardless of ability?"From that thought, we began experimenting with tactile sensors, LED matrices and sound modules. Slowly, the idea of an Interactive Music Trainer started to take shape β a low-cost, portable, and inclusive device that provides touch, visual, and audio feedback for learning notes.---
π οΈ Building the Prototype
We used a Raspberry Pi Microcontroller as the brain of the system, connected to:A LED matrix display to show the note being played.A DFPlayer Mini to generate audio feedback.Touch sensors mapped with Braille-like markers, so users can feel and select notes confidently.When a user touches a pad, the system instantly responds:The note is spoken/played as sound.The LED matrix shows the letter of the note.The tactile marker ensures correct placement by touch.This way, learners receive multi-sensory guidance β through touch, sight, and sound β making music training more inclusive.---
