This is a bootloader shield for the arduino uno to be used with ATmega328p smd chip. I just load the virgin smd ATmega328p chip and run the "burn bootloader" on uno. Then solder the bootloaded chip on to the actual project pcb.
Whenever i wanted to use the smd version of ATmega328p, I found it messy and hard to bootload the smd chip. Here I have made a shield with the socket for the smd which can be mounted on the Uno.
I have also provided FTDI to upload a sample code after bootloading the chip to confirm the successful bootload. A test led is connected to a digital pin, which can be programmed to blink and enjoy and confirm the successful bootload.
There is also ICSP pin breakout.
