My first attempt at making this custom board for Otto + robot. The board has quite a bit of features like onboard connections to just about all the external prefs: Bluetooth module, Ultrasound module, on/off switch, Buzzer, and battery.
As you can see by the diagram i have seperated the +5v putting it through a 7805 regulator so no strain goes through the onboard one, thus you can use a LIPO 2C battery 7.4v. I have also isolated the power plug so it can be used to recharge the battery without having to open up our friend to charge.
The bluetooth module can be placed directlly over the arduino nano board so it does not take up much space.
I have also included drop down resistors on D6 and D7 so no external connections are needed for this, and if you do use the buttons there is a connector for them.
External connectors for A0, A1 and A5 are inserted so if you want to add mic or pull up/down these ports you can do this with a simple jumper.
