I love my girlfriend, so I decided to marry her.
However, engagement rings cost an arm and a leg, and then thousands of dollars more.
So I had an idea: why don't I just use my creativity, and make one?
So we decided on a design by going to a mid-price ring store called Cartier which sells rings for a minimum of $35, 000 USD. She selected the one she wanted, and then I took pictures all around it.
I used this tutorial to learn how to model the ring in Fusion360:
And then I printed it out on my Elegoo Mars.
It fit!
After making sure it fit her fingers perfectly, we sent it off to Shapeways for 3d-printing. No supports were needed, and they polished it perfectly. Here is the end product:
My girlfriend loves the photos, and I am planning to give her the ring when I propose this coming Saturday :) Wish me luck!
