I was watching some video's about retro gaming and starting testing with a Raspberry PI and some old computers of mine..
There were several videos on Retropie and I got that working OK pretty easy.
After that I started on testing the dual core PC ' s and Batocera. It was pretty easy to download nice installation packs and install theme by using PI installer V1.7.2
And finding roms packs for systems like the Nintendo ES was also working.
There was trouble when I started to test games for the Videopac console.
I started with the wiki that told me these things ; #1 https://wiki.batocera.org/systems:videopacplus
OK, I might need some roms for it..
As a second step I found this information ; #2 https://wiki.batocera.org/troubleshooting
So let's go and look at the log files ; >> Missing rom #2b
Using google I found the right files on this Batocera + github ; https://github.com/BatoceraPLUS/Batocera.PLUS-bios
So downloaded them. Copied them on the memory stick and used F1 to start the transfer tool..
The bios files are in ; share / system / userdata / bios
Also, the roms should go in ; /userdata/roms/o2em
These are the game settings that I used ;
- Game ratio 4/3
- Video mode 640x480
- Smooth games on
- Rewind on
- Auto save/load auto
- Shaders set none
- Integer scale off
- Decoration none
- Stretch bezels off
- Graphics backend auto
Hope you'll enjoy those great games from the eighties..
The Installer can fail after 99% due to request of explorer at the same time.
Some games are programmed to use the second ' joystick ' and will not work.
