Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form of energy, such as using: wind turbines to make electricity. Wind power, as an alternative to fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation and uses little land.
Wind turbines convert kinetic energy of wind to useful rotational motion, which is then used to rotate generators where electricity is generated.

Firstly fix the propeller to the DC generator and connect the LED to it. While connecting the LED to DC generator check its polarities. The red wire of the DC Generator should be connected to the red of the LED and the black wire of the DC Generator to the black of the LED.
Blow air from mouth or blower or hair dryer at a distance of 10 to 20cm from the wind mill blades . The fan starts rotating and as the rotations increases you will be able to find that the LED connected to it starts glowing. We can find that as the speed of the fan increases the intensity of the LED also increases. This proves how mechanical energy (wind) is converted into electrical energy.
