If you love commuting, you always almost want to check when the next bus, train or shuttle arrives. Trust me it gets frustrating to always look up your stop IDs and check when the next one arrives. Having been in this situation for a while it struck me, wait a minute, what if I could tell Alexa my preferred or home stop ID and have her tell me when my next transit is due, schedules, alerts and Detours.
Great!, that has been taking care of and life seems good. But hold on, being in the Pacific North West, well weather is very important and found myself using other apps to lookup the weather. Hmm what if I added that to my skill and have Alexa not just tell me my schedules, but also added the current weather conditions.
Awesome! Mission accomplished. Things are fine at this point until it gets boring just being told the arrivals and the weather which with time you would know the schedules off head. what can I do to spice things up?
It finally occurred to me, each day is an opportunity to learn something good and to learn from the past as well. A new idea was conceived, have Alexa tell me a random fact about anything before giving me my schedules and weather conditions, and give me some random quote to nipple on before I start my commuting day.
Now its all coming together, commuting taking to a different level, not only do i get my transit Schedules, I get my weather and also get smarter with each interaction with my Transit Tracker.
I wonder what am going to add to it first, not to go off track but to get an awesome commuting experience and make every invocation a dynamic thought provoking experience.
