It is a minibar built from an oil barrel, an actuator and an Arduino Nano coupled with an esp8266. The bar can be controlled both with Alexa and with buttons on the bottom of the bar. The lid has been replaced by an oak lid and the bar can be extended to two different levels for a compartment that contains the spirits and a compartment that contains the glasses. The compartments are illuminated with RGB LED stripes. They light up red when the minibar is raised and white when the bar is moved to the desired position. When extended, the minibar can be used as a high table.
I'm not quite finished yet, so no code or anything. I'm planning on using magnetic sensors to pinpoint the exact location when we power up. But just let me know if you need details or a video.
